Born in Fairfax, Virginia, Jason graduated from Liberty High School in 2005, his obituary says.

Jason went on to attend the University of New Haven, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in music in 2009.

Jason had worked as a manager at Tanczos Beverages in Bethlehem, his memorial says.

He was better known for his incredible finger-style guitar skills and played regular shows at Godfrey Daniels Coffee House in Bethlehem and other Lehigh Valley venues.

Jason loved nature and spending time outdoors. He also had a one-of-a-kind sense of humor and could effortlessly make others laugh.

Jason leaves behind his loving and heartbroken wife, Michelle Turzanski; mother: Elizabeth Hahn; step-father: Joseph Babyak; as well as several extended family members and close friends whose lives he forever changed.

Donations can be made in Jason’s honor to the Sierra Club environmental organization.

Tributes also poured in for Jason on social media:

“My heart broke to learn that our beloved Jason Hahn has passed away,” Ansel Barnum writes.

“He was an extraordinary guitarist who I felt so lucky to compose and perform with…Jason brought joy to so many people's lives in the all-too brief time he graced the planet. I feel so fortunate to be among them.”
